The sun was setting fast so we made our way along the beach...
...and over a bluebell covered hillside...
...to photograph the sunset over the Sound of Jura.
The sun slowly sank into the Sound of Islay which separates
Jura to the north and....
Islay to the south.
We lingered long after sundown savouring the Southern Hebridean twilight until the Paps of Jura merged into the inky blackness of the night sky.
Now that is properly glorious Douglas. Absolutely beautifula nd it's doing nothing to reduce my homesickness! :o)
ReplyDeleteIan, you will just need to come home! I would go back there like a shot, err well perhaps not like a shot given my recent experience of being in close proximity to a man discharging a shotgun on an otherwise peaceful beach!
DeleteExcellent composition with the bluebells, a very pleasing picture. They are in bloom here now also.
ReplyDeleteTony :-)
Thank you Tony, unfortunately my photo does not capture their wonderful sweet scent.
DeleteStunning pics!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sarah :o)
DeleteI turn my back for two minutes (well, a couple of months) and I come back to these stunners Douglas.. :-) My Capella is all washed and ready to rock and roll again.. thanks for the continued inspiration..
