Imagine you are at the edge of the sea on a day when it is difficult to say where the land ends and the sea begins and where the sea ends and the sky begins. Sea kayaking lets you explore these and your own boundaries and broadens your horizons. Sea kayaking is the new mountaineering.

The western cliffs of Ailsa Craig.
On our recent trip to Ailsa Craig, we spent time under the western cliffs and the Water Cave before rounding Stranny Point. Unfortunately the cacophony of the birds' calls and the smell of their guano does not come across in this video.
So the camera was on after all - excellent! I make up for lack of sound with a rock soundtrack, but that probably needs something more classical - Ride of the Valkyrie is about as classical I get, not sure it would quite fit though.

Hi Jim I was so pleased that the camera was on. I just didn't have time to look for a royalty free sound track.

ReplyDeleteThank you Mark, it really was point and shoot!
ReplyDeletePeter, the noise and smell assailed the senses. A truly spectacular place and it's on our doorstep!
